CAUTION
Taking Hydrochlorothiazide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Met XL H 50 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Met XL H 50 Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Met XL H 50 Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Met XL H 50 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Met XL H 50 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Met XL H 50 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

How to use Met XL H Tablet XL
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Met XL H 50 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Met XL H 50 Tablet works
Met XL H 50 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Metoprolol and hydrochlorothiazide that help control your blood pressure. Metoprolol is a beta blocker that lowers your heart rate. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from your body. This also reduces the risk of a heart attack or stroke.
